I don't eat McDonald's for many reasons but today I'm gonna show you how to make the McRib Sandwich at home with leftover bbq ribs. The infamous McRib sandwich looks pretty disgusting. But at home, you can make an easy and delicious rib sandwich with a little love and care.
INGREDIENTS
1 Rack Cooked Baby Back or Spare Ribs (Link to recipe)
Half Onion, Finely Diced
5-7 Pickled Slices
Portuguese Roll
BBQ Sauce Recipe (Link to recipe)
DIRECTIONSn
Wrap the leftover ribs in foil and reheat for about 30 minutes in a 350-degree oven.
When heated through, remove from the oven, unwrap and lay the ribs flat on a board. Remove the rib bones and any tendons left in the rib meat carefully keeping the piece of meat intact. Then start to paint the meat with bbq sauce.
Cut the roll in half and in a pan on medium-high heat, add butter and toast the rolls, applying gentle pressure to make sure you get a nice crispy layer on the roll. Then assemble the sandwich.
Lay the ribs on the bottom roll. Paint some more bbq sauce on top. Sprinkled diced onions and finish with pickles. Close the top bun. Enjoy.
